Description

This module is suitable for all Devon County Council Provider service, Private, Voluntary and Independent Sector staff working in an adult health and care setting who have regular contact with adults who may either temporarily or permanently lack capacity to make decisions for themselves. This module will provide you with the knowledge you require to use the mental capacity act appropriately, ensuring that all practice is underpinned by the Human Rights Act, Equality Act and Mental Capacity Act. It will consider what actions can be taken by providers to prevent harm occurring in the first place.
