The course is suitable for staff working in adult health and care settings who have regular contact with adults who may either temporarily or permanently lack capacity to make decisions for themselves, or who have capacity now but may wish to make arrangements for a time when they may lack capacity in the future. This includes DCC provider services, private/independent contractors or practitioners and volunteers.
The course will provide you with the knowledge you require to use the Mental Capacity Act appropriately, ensuring that all practice is underpinned by the Human Rights Act, Equality Act and Mental Capacity Act.
The course is accessed as face to face or virtual training. The course is one-day module available once a month.
If you have a Devon County Council or a NHS email address, you can create an account, and book on to training via DEL.
If you do not have a NHS or DCC email address, you can complete our booking form below.
