Equality, diversity and inclusion

The Torbay and Devon Safeguarding Adults Partnership statement of intent – equality, diversity and inclusion:

“The Torbay and Devon Safeguarding Adults Partnership aspires to enhance equality and is fully committed to work with all of its partners to remove the barriers of discrimination in safeguarding adults practice across Torbay and Devon.

“Every adult will be treated fairly, with accessible information, advice and support. This will help them to stay safe, maintain independence and control of their lives. Every person is unique and diversity will be respected and celebrated”.

The TDSAP agreed as part of its strategic business plan 2025 to 2027 for partners to work towards improved awareness amongst professionals and across partner organisations of the importance of equality, diversity and inclusion in safeguarding practice.

Central to continual improvement will be continued investment and engagement with community groups to ensure co-production and involvement of people regarding their lived experience of safeguarding practice.
